servant in the house of God

i'm so touched that my chorus board SOT members are so willing to serve. I'm real excited about next week bcos Pastor Kong is coming to teach on the Cultural Mandate. although it is typical as singaporeans sometimes that we want the best out of stuff, there are times we have to put aside our selfish ambitions to serve people and God. next week is going to be trying as we have to all reach EARLY, be SHARP and ALERT all in the midst of having to prepare sermons and do assignments (meaning little sleep more work). But what i am sure is that this will definitely help us expand our capacity as SOT students and servants of God. Truly, it is an honour to serve the church, Pastor Kong and God. And i've come to realised thru my lousy attitudes of the past (which I so renounce in Jesus' name), and when I have finally awaken the mighty man within (like Pst Tan said), that i don't care no nothing about whether i'm a janitor (like JX said) in the house of God doing redundant jobs or whether i'm a gatekeeper (like David said?), I just want to give my all to serve God. Like Pst Robb said, we ought to adapt and serve in the area where there is a need, and not serve with selfish ambitions. and truly, it is not the applause of man or the praises of woman we're looking for, but only the look of approval from our Almighty God .
