Had quality time with my family today. absolutely love it whenever there's reunion with my brother & sis-in-law! (:
started the day with a late morning walk with my two sisters to Singapore Flyer to have Popeye for lunch. my sisters have been very into
Groupon. So the latest deal is $10 Popeye vouchers for $5.

| along the way we thot of taking a pic to pretend we're gg NDP. heh. see we wear red! |
after lunch, it was followed by grocery shopping for our Family Cookout at Carrefour Suntec! What's on the menu is spaghetti and cheese tofu (yum) by sheena, chicken salad by lynn. i'm supposed to be assistant cook (but i ended up being drink pourer =X).
here's a simple/no-brainer but yet tasty chicken salad recipe from the Jangs: buy kfc/popeye chicken. shred chicken (with hands). throw in a little of the crispy skin (more if you're a fried food junkie). add some lettuce, corn and cherry tomatoes. toss with mayo&coleslaw sauce. dig in. (:
the recipe works very well for us. and i always find myself picking the crispy bits from the skin to eat with the shredded chicken cos otherwise, the 口感 is just not right (bottomline: i love fried food!).

| kor & SIL actually lugged their new coffee machine over! |
this is a
krups machine. Kor & Yingshi (sis-in-law) bought it at 149 Euros at their recent trip to Italy. It is a very good price for such a "luxury item"! In Spore, it'd at least be priced at over $300.
back to our Nday cookout. Kor brought steamed mushroom rice (like those you find at stalls which sell rice in those traditional
chinese soup bowls). SIL's contribution was fruits platter (strawberries & grapes!).
