it's saturday again!
so updates on my run:
just received race results email this morning. did a 2h25min for 21km last sunday. proud of me. ((:
getting new asic shoes (at a fab price thx to a dear friend). will get back to my leisure running routine after F1.
Last night, my sisters and I went out for a Friday Late Night Movie. Caught The Smurfs. I didn't watch the trailer nor had any expectation of the show, i even thot i mightn't like it cos i'm never a human-mix-cartoon-movie type of girl. pleasantly surprised by the cast, there is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) from HIMYM, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) from MF & Emma (Jayma Mays) from Glee. i'm a follower of HIMYM & MF, so it felt good to see some familiar faces. the story is pretty heartwarming, in a family sense, and i enjoyed it thoroughly. i must say, it was a smurfing great way to start my weekend. (:
it is SO tempting to stay home this saturday. but i'm willing myself to leave the house and be present in the world. gna be sitting in for a wedding decorations discussion, my engaged friend, Kexin has with the decorator, after which i'll sail to sixth ave for a dinner party with a bunch of friends i haven't hung out with for a bit.
i think i've been holding on to the misconception that only in solitude, and inactivity can i find rest.
well, that thought has to go, lest i spent the rest of my life in spinsterhood & solitude!
